In 2004, I transitioned into healthcare engineering field holding different positions from Engineer to Project Manager/Construction Manager to Chief Engineer and Director of Engineering, and since July 2022, I’ve proudly served as Director of Engineering at Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Medical Center. I’ve had the privilege of serving as Vice President of the CSHE Northeastern Chapter starting in 2020, and I’m honored to be its current President since 2023. Anthony Crawford, Immediate Past President
My career started in safety and public health as a Firefighter/Engineer/EMT in Contra Costa County while also working for Tosco & Shell Refineries in Martinez as a Safety Officer/EMT. After coming to Kaiser Permanente in 1997 and working as an Emergency Room Technician and Sr. Orthopedics Technician, I made my way back to safety. Now at Kaiser Permanente for the past 26+ years, my focus has been environment of care, emergency management, respiratory protection, industrial hygiene, hazardous materials & wastes, injury illness prevention, and facility services support. I hold both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in healthcare administration which has lent to my experiences and oversight of Facilities Services and Safety Operations.
I’ve been an active member of ASHE and CSHE since 2012. During this time, I’m proud to have earned my CHFM & CHEM designations and was awarded by ASHE as an Emerging Leader in 2021. Having previously been the Northeastern CSHE Chapter Vice President and President, I’m now serving on the Executive Committee as the Immediate Past President. My aim is to drive growth of frontline Engineers while broadening our reach to every Hospital and Healthcare organization in the State.
While not at work, I enjoy family time (wife and 2 kids), golfing, winetasting, being a ‘foodie’, and getting on those Royal Caribbean cruises each year!
